Access Guide to the Arie Crown Theater for Guests with Disabilities

This guide provides information on the theater’s many accessible features that will help you to enjoy your visit to the Arie Crown Theater. We are eager to please you to encourage your return to the Arie Crown Theater with friends.

To request reasonable accommodations, please contact the Arie Crown Theater at least five working days prior to the event. We fill our accessible seats on a first-come, first-served basis.

Accessible Seating

Accessible or ADA seating is located in Row Q or Row LL on the main floor and is available to purchase online at Ticketmaster.com, indicated by the ADA wheelchair symbol or in person at the Wintrust Arena Box Office. When purchasing tickets, please mention to the ticket agent that a member of your party is mobility impaired. If there are no ADA seats available for your preferred performance, please contact the Box Office at (312) 791-6900 or send us a message at boxoffice@wintrustarena.com to see if we are able to accommodate your needs.

Drop-Off/Pick-Up

ADA and Access Vehicle drop-off and pick-up at the Arie Crown Theater is located at Gate 31 at 2301 S. Jean Baptiste Point DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60616.

Entrance Doors

All doors are ADA-accessible.

Hearing Impairments

The theater does have headsets available to hearing-impaired patrons at no cost. Ask a staff member for a headset when you arrive at the theater.

Lost and Found

If you are at an event and lose an item:

  1. During an event, please inform one of our theater staff members to assist you with locating the item.
  2. See if your item has been turned in. If not, file a claim and the theater staff member may contact you, if your item is located.

If you have left the theater and realized an item is lost:

Check our Lost and Found website daily. Items may be found days after an event.

  1. If your item is listed, click your item and click File a Claim to fill out your information. The more information you provide, the quicker your item can be verified.
  2. Guests have 60 days to claim and pick up their items. After the time allotted, items able to be donated will be. All IDs and credit cards will be destroyed after the 60-day period for security purposes. All other items will be recycled or disposed of properly.
  3. Items may be found several days after an event, based on the theater cleaning schedule. Please check the website for continual updates.

If your item is NOT listed, you should still select the gray ‘File A Claim’ button on the upper right in the event that it is located before it is listed.

Items can be picked up at the theater for no charge. After an item has been claimed and verified, it can be picked up at the Wintrust Arena Security Office, located on 21st St., located at the rear of the arena.

If you are unable to pick up your item, it can be shipped to you. Guests must pay all associated shipping costs.

Sensory Inclusion

Kulture City Logo.pngKultureCity has partnered with Arie Crown Theater to make the Arie Crown Theater and all of its hosted programs and events sensory-inclusive. This new initiative will promote an accommodating and positive experience for all guests with sensory issue that visits the Arie Crown Theater. Before attending an event, families can download the free KultureCity App where one can view what sensory features are available and where they can access them. Also, on the App is the Social Story, which will provide a preview of what to expect while enjoying an event at the Arie Crown Theater.

Sensory items available to you or a family member include headphones, fidget mesh, fidget ball, feeling thermometer, and KCVIP lanyard. The lanyard will help our staff better identify and entertain guests with sensory needs. If you, or a family member, have sensory sensitivity needs, please visit with one of our theater staff members. It will be our pleasure to assist you.

Service Animals

People with disabilities may bring their service animals into all areas where attendees are generally allowed. Service animals include guide dogs, signal dogs or other animals that have been individually trained to provide service to an individual with a disability. Any animal that poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others shall be required to leave.

Sign Language Interpretation

We are able to provide sign language interpretation upon request free of charge. To request sign language interpretation, please contact the Arie Crown Theater at least 10 working days prior to the event at contact@wintrustarena.com.

Ticket Purchase

If you require accessible seating, state this need to the ticketing source. The ticket seller can sell tickets for accessible seating, thus avoiding the need to exchange inaccessible seat tickets.
